A little elbow grease goes a long way​

 In May 2018 we started, in earnest, removing a lot of water logged debris from 33 2nd St. NW in Ortonville. Next came a new roof. Then a lot of cleaning, some OSB and stain on the floor, and a little paint on the walls got us open for the first annual Big Stone Lake Regional Art Crawl held the second weekend in June. Since then we’ve spray foam insulated the ceiling and walls, added some sheetrock and more paint, AND new hardwood floors. The transformation has been very satisfying. We hope we will be a door, people will visit frequently to say hello, visit a while, and maybe shop some too. Ortonville Mercantile & Gallery opened for business Friday, October 5, 2018. Inventory includes local artists work, unique handmade and fair-trade gifts, shoes and apparel from near and far.
